Early Childhood Balloon Volleyball

Looking for a quick time filler game for early childhood? How about balloon volleyball? That’s right! Balloon volleyball is a fun, simple game for those moments when you need to stretch the final moments of your session. Here is how you do it.

First, set up a few chairs in a row, or place visible tape in a line on the floor (make sure it can be easily pulled up without damaging the flooring). Arrange to have no more than five children on each side. If your room or class size is small, then you can lower the amount of kids on each side. Blow up a balloon and then let them bounce it back and forth. Allow them to hit it as many times as they want. If it drops on the floor, that is okay. Let them pick it up and start again. I do not keep points for the game. The goal is simply to give them a fun way to interact in a controlled environment. This game works best for most children ages three and up. Enjoy!
