memories worth cherishing

There are memories worth cherishing. They lift up a broken heart. They cheer a downcast countenance. They comfort the person remembering when they think of you. These are the kinds of memories which are generated through shared unselfish experiences. It causes your friends to recall the times when you gave generously, not expecting anything in return. It brings to mind the occasions when you listened intently. You made your friends feel like the most important persons in the world. And they were. At that moment. To you. The best gift you can give to another is a heart of love, demonstrated through acts of grace in that way that Jesus had. In so doing, you generate for them memories worth cherishing, memories of Jesus touching their hearts through yours.
