Perseverance in Discipleship

Perseverence causes me to keep my eye on the prize even as I struggle through the daily details. Discipleship is hard work, not only for the person being discipled, but for those who speak into his life along the way. In fact, being a discipler is key function of growing as a life-long disciple. Whatever challenges may arise, the disciple who goes the distance does so, in large part, because of dogged determination, or perseverance. I pray that when the dust of my vaporous life settles it may be said of me, he never gave up. More importantly, I pray that my life will result in generations of determined disciples who follow the Lord Jesus Christ to the ends of the earth as a witness to the nations. What is your hope for your life?
