calling in sick

I called in sick to the church this morning. I will spare you the details. I just don’t want to give it to others. Calling in sick is one of my least favorite things to do in ministry. I miss the kids and parents already. Yet I know that my substitutes will do a fine job. I have nothing to worry about on the ministry end, for which I am thankful. But I look forward to seeing them again soon. Sometimes we have to pause, take a step back, and care for our own health. This is one of those times for me. So off to bed I go to recover.

  1. actually acknowledging you are sick and then recouping is really the only way to kick a cold. Going in and spreading it around is the worst…hope you feel better!
