Herbert Hoover Park–Newberg, Oregon

I have fond memories of spending time in this park, especially the two-mile cross country races as a Jr. High athlete. The house shown above is Herbert Hoover’s boyhood home. If you expand the second house picture you can see the marker indicating that fact. The home is situated across the street from the park. When I was a boy, it seemed so huge. Now it seems tiny in comparison to the typical tract box home in comtemporary suburbia.
