Do you have problems on your ministry staff? Are there tensions? Triangulation? Gossip? Bickering? How do you deal with it? Leading staff is a bit like being a shepherd. Sometimes we must figuratively pour the oil over their heads so that the sores caused by slamming their heads together may be healed. I have not had this sort of thing happen in a long while, but I once had a season where some of my volunteers seemed to poison the overall atmosphere with negativity and wrong headed manipulative tactics. On one hand, I worked to help them learn how to get along. Some of them, however, needed help finding a different area of interest in the church. The result has been a prolonged peaceful season of ministry with a high level of cooperation and communication. Fortunately, nobody threw anything at me in the process. :)
