Sometimes we might find ourselves out of our element in executing a ministry plan, floundering as if we have tiny little arms and very big heads, and wondering why we didn’t think through it a bit better before attempting to carry it out. Ever experienced something similar to this? I have. Usually because of my own pride or laziness. Sometimes because of my ignorance as well. It is far better to network with parents, staff and fellow volunteers at your church to dream up a plan, refine its elements, assign specific responsibilities to the best possible personnel assets, provide for multi-dimensional accountability and support, and celebrate the victories as you all allow God to use you as a part of God’s church. That way you won’t find yourselves banging your heads against the wall, flailing your arms, and wondering why more care was not given to thinking a plan through.
